Job Description:
Fourk is seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Hostess to join our team for our daytime and lunch operations. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth dining experience. This position requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment. Additionally, you'll assist with DoorDash and to-go orders, ensuring accuracy and timely service.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests as they arrive, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently, ensuring smooth seating arrangements for all guests.
- Provide guests with menus and inform them of any specials or promotions.
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand, ensuring it is stocked with necessary supplies.
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure timely seating and smooth service.
- Answer the phone promptly and assist with reservation inquiries or guest questions.
- Monitor guest flow to ensure a smooth dining experience and minimize wait times.
- Assist with light administrative duties, such as taking messages or confirming reservations.
- Maintain a professional, friendly demeanor at all times and handle guest concerns or special requests with tact and professionalism.
- DoorDash & To-Go Orders: Bag items for takeout and DoorDash orders, ensuring that all items are correctly packaged and labeled.
- Double-check to-go orders for accuracy, ensuring that the correct items, condiments, and utensils are included.
- Coordinate with kitchen and delivery drivers to ensure a smooth handoff of orders in a timely manner.
- Ensure all to-go orders are ready for pickup or delivery at the scheduled time.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a host or customer service role is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Ability to multitask and handle a high volume of guests and to-go orders during peak lunch hours.
- Organized, with excellent attention to detail, especially in handling to-go orders.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be available to work flexible daytime hours, including weekends.
- A positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and a passion for hospitality.
Projected Start Date: Our daytime and lunch operations are set to begin on April 15th, and we are looking to hire staff immediately to ensure a smooth start.
