The Oil Scheduler is responsible for planning and scheduling the distribution of crude oil to designated downstream markets. This role involves analyzing trucking needs, storage levels, adjusting shipping schedules to minimize risks, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of oil. The Oil Scheduler will work closely with oil haulers, field employees, and end users to reconcile invoices and delivery confirmations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule crude oil distribution in alignment with the field to designated downstream markets via truck and rail, ensuring high-quality standards and attention to detail
- Analyze field and facility storage levels, monitor and adjust shipping schedules to minimize risks, while maintaining a focus on accuracy and precision
- Reconcile invoices and delivery confirmations with oil haulers, field employees, and end users, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete
- Support operational and maintenance issues as needed, collaborating closely with field employees to address any challenges
- Collaborate with various departments and field employees to ensure smooth and efficient oil distribution, fostering a team-oriented environment
- Maintain accurate records of oil shipments and deliveries, with a strong emphasis on quality control and attention to detail
- Monitor and report on oil inventory levels, ensuring data integrity and reliability
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards, prioritizing quality and meticulousness in all tasks
- Work closely with MarbleRock Advisors on rail car scheduling at the origin, and markets at the destination
- Other duties as required

Education, Skills and Experience Required
- At least 5 years of experience in logistics, scheduling, or related field within the oil and gas industry
- Bachelors degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
- Strong understanding of crude oil transportation modes and logistics operations
- Experience in negotiating transportation agreements and contracts
- Knowledge of petroleum agreements and industry regulations
- Ability to manage multiple projects under minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with transportation providers and internal teams
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs
