A leading wholesaler of mass market apparel is seeking a Director of Planning to join their team!
**4 days a week on site required
Responsibilities:
- Create store merchandise assortment strategy
- Build financial plans and budgets
- Run daily, weekly, and monthly sales and inventory reports
- Ensure buy plans meet or exceed sales and margin expectations
- Analyze store level business and inventory flow to improve in-stock and optimize turn
- Formulate business strategies using historical and current trend analysis
- Recommend courses of action to drive profitable sales and reduced markdowns
- Lead and nurture the planning team
Requirements:
- 7 years’ experience in retail merchandise planning, with prior management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills
- Retail math skills are required
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Retail Link is a plus
- 4-year college degree required
