Our client, a home textiles manufacturer, is seeking a Product Tech to join their soft home goods team in NYC!
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Product Management Team in initiating and finalizing the pre-product development process
- Create Material in PLM system (Blue Cherry)
- Set up Placeholder by entering: main fabric, design specs, standard construction guide, and standard packaging guide.
- Assist Product Manager in filling out pre-development RFQ
- Communicate pre-development RFQ and product spec to vendor
- Submit product sample request to vendor
- Ensure Vendor’s response is in PLM system
- Track Vendor pre-development sample to ensure it meets development calendar requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Textiles, Fibers, Home/Fashion Design, Product or relevant field of study
- 1-3 years of experience in product development
- Strong computer skills (PLM, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office programs to include Excel)
- Basic knowledge of sizing/grading, material substrate and product constructions
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
Salary: $60,000-$65,000
