Job Title: Quality Inspector
Location: Milledgeville, GA
Job Summary: Fouts Bros, a leading manufacturer specializing in high-quality vehicle bodies and equipment, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team in Milledgeville, Georgia. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and/or sub-assemblies.
- Parts will be inspected to engineering drawings, customer purchase order(s), industry standards, and specifications.
- The inspector will be required to report inspection 67accept/reject information via the web application
- Support and promote continuous improvement activities to meet business objectives.
- Must maintain Inspection stamp.
- Manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
- Flexibility around shifts for training and maintaining workflow, including overtime
- May be assigned to carry out tasks not specifically listed within the scope and skill level of this job description to support department objectives and develop individuals’ skills.
Qualifications:
- High School or General Equivalency Diploma
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Must be able to read/interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders (POs).
- The candidate must have experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers.
- Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs)
- Ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience performing inspections in vehicle upfitting manufacturing with proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Candidate should be computer savvy
- Communication skills, both verbal and written
