What are the responsibilities and job description for the Varsity Sideline/Competitive Cheer Coach position at Fowlerville High School?
Fowlerville Community Schools is currently accepting applications for our Varsity Sideline/Competitive Cheer Coach vacancy. Ideal candidate will have the proven ability to communicate effectively, organize and implement a successful and competitive program and demonstrate a commitment to the educational and athletic mission of Fowlerville Schools.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in coaching competitive/sideline cheer.
• Broad knowledge of the sport of competitive/sideline cheer.
• Ability to teach and spot basic tumbling skills (cartwheel, round off and back walkover).
• Ability to teach stunting effectively and safely, following the guidelines set up by the MHSAA.
• Leadership qualities that include a positive attitude, energy and sportsmanship.
• Provide a clear direction, goals and objectives for program success.
• Ability to instill, enforce and provide fair but firm discipline.
• Can demonstrate ability to plan, organize and teach fundamentals and techniques to student-athletes.
• Ability to communicate clearly with the Athletic Department on a daily basis.
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents, administration, players, and staff.
• Provide a positive learning environment and be a postive role model for the athletes.
