Description
Fox Ballard PLLC is a premier Pacific Northwest civil litigation law firm with a focus on health law, medical malpractice defense, professional licensing, long-term care and guardianship law. Our experienced attorneys and staff are dedicated to providing outstanding results for clients.
Fox Ballard is currently seeking a legal assistant to support our medical malpractice defense team in our Seattle office. This position is an in-office position, Monday through Friday from 8:30am-5pm. The firm enjoys a welcoming and collegial environment with an emphasis on innovative, dynamic, and proactive representation. Legal Assistant Job Duties include:
- Court filings, including pleadings, motions, supporting documents and working copies
- Assist attorneys and paralegals with general clerical tasks
- Draft, proofread and processes documents
- Case management and task tracking
- Scheduling for meetings, hearings, depositions and trials
- Punctual attendance for full-time, in-person work
Future team members must have the following attributes:
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
- Great attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Competence with Microsoft Office
- Planning and organizational skills
- Strong sense of professionalism
Experience in the following areas is preferred:
- Knowledge of Washington Court Rules (FRCPs, Alaska and Oregon rules are also a plus)
- Motion practice
- Scheduling for court deadlines and depositions
Salary
The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 and represents the Firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience and qualifications.
