POSITION TITLE: Director of Assessment & College/Career Readiness (CCR)
STATUS: 260-Day Contract; Exempt
REPORTS TO: Chief Teaching & Learning Officer
POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for overseeing the administration, compliance, and system integration of all district-wide assessments. This position will ensure accurate data management to support teaching and learning decisions, facilitate the integration of assessment software, and promote continuous improvement in college and career readiness initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Train Building Test Coordinators to maintain compliance with Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) requirements and ensure accurate test administration.
- Coordinate with the District Technology Department to ensure technical readiness for MAP and other testing platforms.
- Develop and maintain a master testing schedule that ensures compliance with state guidelines.
- Collaborate with the technical department to ensure accurate student data imports for all district assessments.
- Monitor MAP results for errors and collaborate with data specialists as needed to coordinate appropriate appeals.
- Provide daily troubleshooting and technical support during testing windows.
- Work closely with high school counseling departments to successfully implement: registration, payment, administration, and data reporting for post-secondary assessment programs.
- Coordinate with all school administration, counselors, and subject departments to ensure a smooth testing process.
- Coordinate with Directors of Special Services and Counselors to ensure that all student accommodations are documented and implemented across assessment platforms.
- Ensure compliance with individualized student accommodation plans during all testing windows.
- Coordinate with external vendors to integrate and maintain assessment software platforms.
- Oversee annual software updates, installation, and roster synchronization for CTE Courses.
- Ensure technical systems are optimized for secure, reliable, and efficient testing environments.
- Train administrators, counselors, and teachers on accessing and analyzing assessment data to support data-driven instructional decisions.
- Gather and analyze assessment data from multiple sources.
- Provide actionable insights to guide staff development, inform instructional planning, and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and deliver community education presentations on College and Career Readiness opportunities.
- Promote and track continuous improvement in the number of students completing career concentration course sequences and earning Industry Recognized Credentials (IRCs).
- Collaborate with high school leadership to implement strategies that increase student participation in college and career readiness programs.
- Ensure all assessment practices align with state and federal guidelines.
- Implement best practices in assessment security and data privacy procedures.
- Regularly review and refine testing protocols to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of state guidelines and indicators of College and Career Readiness.
- Ability to read, analyze, and determine an effective course of action based upon various types of written and verbal information.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Technology, or a related field required.
- Missouri Administrator certification or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in assessment coordination, data management, or a related role.
- Experience working with Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) guidelines and compliance.
- Experience managing and analyzing large data sets to inform instructional decisions.
- Experience in supporting district initiatives and efforts in College and Career Readiness.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work setting involves performance in an environment with various levels of staff to supervise and the accomplishment of tasks that are often interrupted by persons with special and/or immediate needs. The employee must be able to regularly work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, and utilize manual dexterity. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, the ability to adjust focus, and depth perception. The employee must independently transport him/herself to various sites in the District as well as other sites out of the District for various types of meetings and events.
