The current Borough Manager, who has served with distinction for 17 years, will be retiring in the summer of 2025. The Borough operates with a General Fund budget of $10,510,300, which supports Administration, Finance, Codes and Planning, Public Works, Buildings and Parks, the Police Department, and other professional services. Strategic grant writing has been integral to the Borough’s success in supplementing its short- and long-term capital planning efforts.
In addition, the Borough recently completed a Joint Comprehensive Plan, and the next Manager will play a key role in implementing its action items. Managing ongoing capital projects and leading succession planning for key Borough positions will also be critical priorities.
Key Responsibilities
The next Borough Manager will :
Serve as a Project Manager for capital improvement projects.
Implement the action items from the Joint Comprehensive Plan.
Work collaboratively with residents, elected officials, appointed boards, and community organizations.
Provide innovative leadership and ensure the efficient delivery of municipal services.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Five to seven years of municipal management experience, preferably as a Borough Manager or Assistant Manager in a Pennsylvania Borough. Equivalent professional municipal experience will also be considered.
A demonstrated record of success in leadership, strategic planning, and effective communication.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position will be competitive and commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. The selected candidate will be offered an Employment Agreement outlining salary and fringe benefits.
