JOB DESCRIPTION
Come join the Bay Area’s top rated news station! KTVU FOX 2 is seeking individuals that have a respect for journalism and want to be part of the station’s best in class reporting, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes! We are searching for a full-time Sports Reporter.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Join the #1 station in the market to deliver dynamic sports coverage that captivates the San Francisco Bay Area’s passionate fan base.
- Stay at the frontline of all things sports in the Bay Area and beyond, taking charge of planning and producing compelling stories and interviews.
- Spearhead special sports coverage, including credentialing, licensing footage, and logistics for live locations in the field.
- Actively pitch and produce innovative stories that reflect the multifaceted nature of the Bay Area for TV, digital, and print platforms.
- Set priorities for the station’s sports coverage that includes unique off-field stories, athlete interviews, and impactful sports moments.
- Produce and anchor sports segments while demonstrating an exceptional capacity for researching, reporting, and writing broadcast and print copy.
- Demonstrate hands-on video production expertise to create captivating content.
- Design and produce graphics that enhance sports storytelling.
- Develop and nurture a local network of sports contacts.
- Engage with the community, building a network of sources.
- Independently create unique content for various digital platforms.
- Collaborate interdepartmentally to curate a strong social media presence.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role is : $130,000.00-150,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits.
