The Solutions Architect role aligns technology initiatives with our strategic goals, enhances operational efficiency, and delivers exceptional member experiences. This pivotal role bridges business needs and technical solutions, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance across our technology landscape.
The primary responsibilities of the Solutions Architect role include but are not limited to :
Strategic Alignment :
- Collaborate with leadership to define and implement technology strategies that align with our mission, vision, and goals.
- Develop and maintain a roadmap that integrates business objectives with technology capabilities.
Solutions Architecture :
Act as a liaison between business units and Technology to ensure clear communication and alignment on requirements and outcomes.Design scalable end-to-end technical solutions (platform, tools, and vendors) ensuring compliance with industry regulations.Develop models and documentation to represent business capabilities, value streams, and processes.Analyze current business processes and systems, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.Participate in steering committees, define architectural standards and ensure adherence across projects.Informal Leadership :
Lead cross-functional team in the delivery of complex projects, ensuring alignment with business and technical goals.Provide influence, guidance, and mentorship on project scope and capabilities of solutions.Stakeholder Engagement :
Engage with internal teams and external partners to ensure solutions meet members and business needs.Partner as a trusted advisor and thought leader with Technology and business teams.Facilitate workshops and build consensus through interviews, and other activities.Risk and Compliance :
Identify and mitigate risks associated with solution design and implementation.Ensure all solutions comply with regulatory requirements.Candidates for the Solutions Architect position should possess :
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in solution architecture, business architecture, business analysis, or a similar role.Experience in credit union operations and regulatory compliance is desirable.Excellent informal leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organizationStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detailStrong math skills and the ability to create and monitor budgetsDemonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentSound judgment and the ability to make informed decisionsTechnical Skills :
Proficiency in enterprise architecture frameworks.Strong understanding of cloud computing, cybersecurity, DevOps, and modern integration patterns (APIs, microservices).Hands-on experience with core banking systems, enterprise applications, CRM platforms, and automation tools.Industry recognized certifications related to architecture, infrastructure, security, data, and Agile. Examples : Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), Certified Business Architect (CBA), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer.Business Acumen :
