SUMMARY : To direct, oversee, supervise, coordinate and communicate all aspects and functions of the daily, on-site building process from beginning to the demobilization at the end of the project.
PRECONSTRUCTION – Working with Fox Construction Management, make all of the necessary arrangements and preparations to begin the building process including :
- Arrange, schedule and mobilize all equipment, utilities and services required for the job site including the job trailer, job boxes, tools, equipment, scaffolding, etc.
- Review and provide input on construction schedule, manpower estimates, subcontracts, long lead-time material delivery dates, etc.
- Perform and communicate to Fox Construction Management job hazard analysis.
- Working with Fox Construction Management, communicate to surrounding neighbors job schedule and contact information.
- Assist with other preconstruction responsibilities as instructed by Fox Construction Management.
CONSTRUCTION – Working with Fox Construction Management, oversee, coordinate and communicate all aspects and functions of the daily, on-site building process including :
o Responsible for the safety of all employees, subcontractors, vendors, visitors, neighbors and passing public. Ensure that all OSHA job safety regulations are followed including maintaining a hazardous chemical program. Complete weekly safety checklist and job-site inspection correcting any safety violations or communicating needs to Fox Construction Management.
o Oversee, direct and line out all carpentry and general labor activities.
o Order all lumber, concrete, rental items, rough hardware and utility purchase orders including other items as instructed / requested by the project manager.
o Maintain / update all weekly on-site record documents and as-builts plans including preparing daily time sheets, three week schedules, daily logs, etc.
o Oversee and ensure the job-site security and lockup of job site at end of day and on weekends.
o Oversee the use, operation and maintenance of all Fox Construction tools and equipment on the job-site including rented items.
o Schedule all subcontractors and coordinate / manage Fox Construction manpower including concrete, soils, masonry and specialty testing.
o Check / review all shop drawings.
o Document the progress of the job with weekly digital photos, videoing job site at major stages, gathering manuals and other documentation, and consistently notating changes on job-site drawings.
o Prepare and update the three-week schedule and assist the project manager with scheduling.
o Ensure that all aspects of the construction process are completed at or above Fox Construction’s quality standards.
o Oversee and coordinate the completion of the punch list at the end of the job including the demobilization of all Fox Construction equipment and tools and clean up job site for transfer to Client.
o Coordinate, schedule and conduct on-site weekly subcontractor meetings including documentation of meeting discussion and those in attendance.
o Coordinate, schedule, conduct and document on-site weekly safety meeting including all employees and subcontractors.
o Document and communicate according to Fox Construction policies and procedures all accident / near miss reports to the Safety Director.
o Communicate as needed daily / weekly / monthly to Fox Construction Management the activities, problems, issues and progress at the job-site including any issues with employees and subcontractors.
POSITION TYPE – Full-Time during business hours as defined by Fox Construction.
TRAVEL – Travel to and from jobsites in Routt, Moffat and Jackson counties.
