Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to oversee the health, safety, and environmental (HSE) aspects of our GEO drilling project. The Safety Coordinator will ensure compliance with industry regulations, promote a strong safety culture, and implement best practices to mitigate risks and prevent workplace incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures tailored to GEO drilling operations.
- Ensuring drilling activities comply with industry regulations, company policies, and environmental guidelines.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and enforce safety compliance.
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA, MSHA, and EPA guidelines.
- Provide safety training, toolbox talks, and emergency response drills for field personnel and contractors.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, preparing detailed reports with corrective action plans.
- Maintain records of safety compliance, training programs, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with project managers, drillers, and field teams to integrate safety into daily operations.
- Monitor and maintain safety equipment, PPE, and emergency response plans.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all safety-related issues and ensure swift resolution.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in safety coordination, preferably in drilling, geotechnical, or construction industries.
- Certification in OSHA 30/50, First Aid/CPR, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of drilling safety protocols, hazard control, and emergency response.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to train and influence teams.
- Proficiency in safety documentation and reporting.
- Ability to work in remote locations and adapt to varying environmental conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to risk management.
Work Environment:
- Field-based role GEO drilling sites.
- Exposure to outdoor environments, heavy equipment, and physically demanding.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.50 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
