What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechatronics Engineer III Technical Lead position at Fox Factory?
An exciting role exists for a Mechatronics engineer, specializing in embedded control systems within the Powered Vehicles Group (PVG) Advanced Development Team at FOX. The Advanced Development Team creates, develops and implements new technologies for a range of FOX markets including automobiles, off-road vehicles, ATVs, snowmobiles, motorcycles, and future transportation modes. As a result, the Advance Development Team works collaboratively with all PVG business groups.
The candidate will be instrumental in the development of innovative concepts and next generation IP. As part of a small team, he or she must be a creative, forward thinker that can work well with others and is dedicated to advancing the technological capabilities of FOX.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electromechanical component / system design and development with good knowledge of embedded control systems. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing complex mechatronic systems that integrate mechanical, electrical, and software components. The successful candidate will lead projects and contribute to innovative solutions that enhance product performance and brand value.
Required Experience :
- BS or master’s in electrical / mechatronics / mechanical engineering or physics, master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years as an engineer in automotive, aerospace, consumer electronics, or equivalent industry
- Experience proto-typing electromechanical systems and embedded controls applications
- Experience developing / designing electromechanical components & systems
- Experience bringing up and debugging PCBAs & electrical systems
- Experience with control system development
