Fox Heritage Foods and Willow Creek Farms is seeking a Butcher and Order Fulfillment Assistant . Room for growth and continuing education in Meat Processing, HACCP Training. We are a state-inspected meat plant, operating under multiple HACCP plans and are looking for someone with a background in the industry.

Completion of a training program in animal butchery is highly desirable for this position.

2-3 years in Meat cutting experience is preferred.

On the job training will be offered, based on other skills you bring that match well to the position (inventory management, first in first out principles, operating large vehicles for deliveries, forklift and pallet jack experience, Spanish is a plus). We process whole carcasses weekly and have a fast paced production schedule that includes sausage making, smoking meats and making fresh cuts for wholesale and resale at local grocery stores. All production, packaging and sanitation is done in-house by our team of butchers and packagers.

This position acts as support to the Head Butcher and a liaison between the production team and office staff. You will be part of a small team and play an influential role in plant operations and the scheduling of production. Some after hours work may be scheduled with advanced notice (rotate product, run the smokehouse, etc.)..

Jobs Duties:

• Order fulfillment using a bill of lading - this position will work directly on filling orders and may supervise staff who assist with this work (requires pulling product from a commercial freezer for order picking)
• Assists the Head Butcher with setting production schedule and ensuring orders are fulfilled on time
• Assists with product pick up and delivery (as needed) using box truck and refrigerated van
• Oversees part time delivery drivers
• Oversees packaging Beef/Pork/Chicken following all company guidelines
• Performs and monitors routine inventory of products - in commercial freezer and coolers
• Rotates product to reduce waste and loss of profit
• Uses computer and printer to create labels for products
• Cleans and sanitize work area daily, and when needed, in between handling different products
• Assists with production: cutting meat, operating the smokehouse, sausage making, meatball production, bacon slicing, etc
• Complete daily paperwork
• Routinely lift boxes and trays weighing between 15-50 pounds

• Work in a refrigerated room and freezer, as needed

• Able to routinely lift 50 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 34 – 40 per week
