Position Overview:
As the Manager of our Property Management Team, you’ll be a mentor, connector, and creative problem solver. Reporting directly to the Director of Property Management, you’ll be the first point of contact for Property Managers (PMs) and Property Management Coordinators (PMCs). In this role, you’ll create a cohesive and engaged team, fostering collaboration and innovative solutions. You’ll ensure your team has the tools and support they need to succeed while shaping an environment where challenges are met with positivity and forward-thinking. You will be accountable for the success of your team and their property portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management:
- Lead, support, and guide a team of Property Managers responsible for a portfolio of
500 properties.
- Build strong connections with your team to create an environment of trust,
transparency, and collaboration.
- Give your team the autonomy to take ownership of their portfolios while offering
guidance and support as needed to overcome challenges.
- Proactively manage minor escalation support and facilitate smooth property transfers.
- Guide and support Property Managers and Property Management Coordinators in their
professional growth through regular 1:1s and group sessions, creating a pathway for
success tailored to each individual.
- Directly manage the Property Management Coordinator, including performance reviews
and mentorship.
- Work closely with other Managers and Directors across departments to ensure a
unified approach to property management that aligns with company values and goals.
- Lead weekly team meetings and regular check-ins that promote transparency, shared
vision, and active engagement to ensure open communication channels within the team.
- Play a key role in our recruitment efforts by hosting interviews for prospective Property
Manager Coordinators and Property Managers to ensure our team continues to thrive
and grow.
- Support bi-annual review tracking efforts by meticulously managing and organizing
review-related data, contributing to a seamless and effective review process.
- Participate in training and mentoring new hires, ensuring they seamlessly integrate into
our workforce and contribute to our collective success.
- Manage properties temporarily as needed.
Financial Oversight:
- Manage the team’s connection and recognition budget to foster positive relationships
and morale.
- Contribute to department-related financial planning and ensure that measurable goals
are met.
Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor department metrics weekly to ensure that they meet expectations. Regularly
assess key metrics related to maintenance, marketing, leasing, and tenant/owner
relationships to keep the department on track.
- Send weekly reminders to team members regarding upcoming renewals, deposit
refunds, work orders, and security deposits.
- Provide ongoing, real-time feedback to team members, driving continuous
improvement and development.
Communication and Reporting to Directors:
- Keep the Director of Property Management updated on key developments within the
department. Work collaboratively to optimize department performance.
- Work closely with managers and Directors across departments to achieve efficiencies
and rapport with the PM department.

Pay:
- $79,000 annual salary
- 3% annual cost of living increase on January 1
- $1,000 annual longevity increase upon anniversary
