Taxation & Wealth Planning Associate

Description: Fox Rothschild LLP is seeking an associate in the West Palm Beach office to join our esteemed team in the Taxation & Wealth Planning Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background with at least two years of experience in estate planning, probate, and trust administration. The ideal candidate will work closely with high-net-worth clients and family offices to develop comprehensive estate and tax planning strategies. Experience with creating and/or restructuring family offices and with providing family office services is advantageous. Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Florida.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement personalized estate plans for clients, including high-net-worth individuals and families.
• Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
• Provide counsel on tax-efficient strategies for estate and wealth transfer planning.
• Prepare and file estate tax returns and gift tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Assist in trust and estate administration, ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Assist in the creation and/or restructure of family offices under the Lender structure
• Offer family office services, including coordinating investments, charitable giving, succession planning.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their specific family and financial dynamics.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.

Physical Requirements

Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.

Visual Acuity

Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
