Fox Valley Elevator, LLC is an industry leader & innovator of top-quality residential elevators & dumbwaiters. Our company also manufactures commercial dumbwaiters and serves both markets through a comprehensive national dealer network.
The Customer Support, Parts Specialist, assists dealers and their technicians with parts selection and order fulfillment.
REPORTS TO: Customer Support and Parts Technician, Supervisor
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or equivalent, with additional college or technical training preferred
2. Six months to one-year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
3. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
4. Field service experience with mechanical and electrical systems preferred.
5. Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and building plans preferred
6. Must be organized, dependable, and function well under a variety of circumstances.
7. Proficiency in word processing, data processing, and various computer programs.
8. Must be able to type accurately
9. Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Exceptional customer service skills, over the phone and in person, with customers and internal departments
11. Must be able to deal tactfully with customers, co-workers, visitors, and the general public in all circumstances.
12. Must maintain a pleasant and courteous manner and work harmoniously with other personnel.
13. Must be capable of functioning independently using personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with others under challenging customer demands.
14. Must possess sight/hearing senses or use of prosthetics that will enable senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position may be fully met.
15. Must be able to lift a maximum of seventy-five (75) pounds. Must be able to push, pull, and move objects with a maximum effort of seventy-five (75) pounds.
16. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and bend throughout an 8-hour day.
17. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and to remain calm during stressful situations.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Works in a well-lit office area, as well as throughout the facility.
2. Sits, stands, bends, squats, twists, and moves intermittently throughout an 8-hour day.
3. Is subject to frequent interruptions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manage customer inquiries regarding warranty and available parts on Waupaca Elevator Co., Inc. products.
2. Address dealer complaints and follow up corrective actions with the appropriate department.
3. Engage in communication with customers in order to best educate them on unit specifications, lead times, available product(s), and all associated parts pricing, order picking and shipping.
4. Assist with company efforts in process improvement, attendance of seminars, workshops, and other training as directed
5. Participate and assist in cross-training efforts
6. Assist in the maintenance of a positive, professional work environment through the use of appropriate communication, directed toward problem-solving and personal accountability
7. Complete all other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Office, Manufacturing areas, Elevator hoistway, Research and Development Lab.
