What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Vertical Mill position at Fox Valley Metal Tech, Inc.?
Functions and Responsibilities:
- Confirm vise is true to machine
- Review set up sheet and pulled tools
- Provide feedback after tooling is set of any concerns to team
- Run Single control and small vertical machines
- Use appropriate machining tools: go/no go gauges and calipers for inspections compare to blue print
- Set up, operate, and tend to preventative maintenance for CNC equipment
- Interpret and work from complex drawings and blue-prints
- Identify non-conformances during inspection of component parts and properly document such non-conformances
- Notify supervisor when work received does not meet the specifications required by previous operators
- Responsible to record an accurate log of job times and specifications for audit reports
- Maintain clean equipment/tools and work area
- Follow established safety procedures
Education:
- High School/GED - required
- 1 year machining certification - preferred
Experience:
- 1 – 3 years of machining experience
- 1 years of Haas Control - preferred
