Job Summary:
The Per Diem School Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the school staff, helping to ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations. This position is on a per diem basis, providing flexible support as needed, especially during periods of high demand, staff absences, or special projects. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff the High School / District Office's Main Front Office
- Answer High School / District Office phones in a timely manner
- Greet and assist all parents, students, and visitors at the Main Office in a friendly and helpful manner
- Keep accurate and updated attendance records on Attendance log and School Brains, including tardies, dismissals, suspensions, field trips, medical appointments
- Send out daily Alert Now absent calls to families on Blackboard Connect
- Field daily calls for School Culture from teachers and staff
- Mail Discipline & Suspension letters certified mail and file in students records
- Process student withdrawals
- Print and File student records including report cards
- Update legal documents pertaining to students and families K-12 Communicate with all appropriate district wide staff of any changes pertaining to students
- Supports Principal with ceremonial awards and medals for honor award ceremonies
- Process purchase requisitions for High School
- Prepare, collect and document all paperwork on all student drivers
- Collect, review, and report all data collected for each Emergency and/or Emergency drill
- Responsible for updates to all family information changes
- Receive, sort and distribute daily mail for District Update and display school information / flyers in the HS office lobby
- Post monthly Board of Trustee / Finance Meetings in HS Office Lobby
- Submit monthly board of trustee / finance meeting to the State
- Supports High School Principal with general administrative tasks Uphold district values when dealing with parents, students and other guests
- Support providing a culturally affirming environment for every student
- Supports Elementary School and Middle School offices as needed
Terms:
7:00 am - 3:00pm, daily
10 month-10 day Position
Qualifications- Required:
- Education: Hold an Associate's Degree
- Previous office experience as an office manager or office assistant
Candidates are subject to background checks including CORI clearance and fingerprinting Current authorization to work in the United States - Candidates must have such authorization by their first day of employment.
