Foxconn Wisconsin is seeking a SMT Technician that will work as part of a team to assemble, solder, and operate a variety of automatic or semi-automatic SMT machines throughout the production line. Once a part of the team, SMT Technicians will have the opportunity to display critical thinking skills to expand their career in Smart Manufacturing. The SMT Technician will be responsible for inspecting parts for defects, touch-up soldering defects, manually place and/or solder parts, and perform preventative maintenance on select equipment.

Job Responsibilities Include:
- Startup, operate, and shutdown printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) machines
- Load electronics components and solder paste into SMT machines
- Read and correctly interpret printed circuit board documentation
- Monitor product, and inspect/test finished products for quality throughout entire SMT process
- Hand Solder small parts such as circuits, transformers, sockets, and other electronic components
- Perform daily and routine maintenance on SMT machines, and calibrate as necessary
- Complete all required paperwork and attend meetings in a timely manner
- Use and handle small hand tools for the assembly of printed circuit boards efficiently
- Use microscope or other magnifying devices as is necessary to complete an assignment
- Communicate with Leads, Engineers, and Management to resolve machine and process related issues
- Consistently meet all productivity goals and deadlines
- Maintain 5S standards throughout all workstations
- Other Duties as assigned
Education Requirements and Ideal Experience Includes:
- High school diploma or GED strongly preferred; candidates with prior experience without preferred education will be considered.
- Pre-qualifying SMT Competency Assessment required.
Physical Requirements & Mental Demands Include:
- Must be able to maintain efficiency and work together with team members to meet deadlines.
- Light to medium physical effort required. Will handle an average-weight of objects that are 15-30 pounds.
- This position requires walking, standing, and repetitive bending throughout the day.
- Specific vision abilities are required including, but not limited to: close and distance vision, the ability to identify colors, hand/eye coordination, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
