Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Ø Evaluate and select suppliers based on their ability to meet product and schedule requirements
Ø Develop and implement supplier quality evaluation and control systems
Ø Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement
Ø Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve supplier quality issues
Ø Collaborate with supplier representatives on quality problems, ensure corrective actions are implemented and contribute to supplier quality improvement programs
Ø Coordinate with engineering and procurement teams to ensure supplier compliance with contractual requirements
Education and Experience :
Ø Bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
Ø 1 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ø Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other quality management standards
Ø Prefer experience with supplier audits, performance evaluation, and corrective action plans.
Ø Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Ø Knowledge of basic computer functions.
Ø Familiarity with computer hardware and operating systems such as DOS or Windows.
Ø Must be detail-oriented, and able to follow written SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) for audit requests from customers.
Ø Must be able to handle multiple projects and tasks.
Ø Must be familiar with Visual Quality Inspection.
Ø Must understand customer inspection and release processes.
Ø Must understand Quality System Awareness.
Ø Must know Quality Analysis tool, such as 8D, FMEA and etc.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Ø Provide supervision and leadership to motivate and uplift team members.
Ø Provide assistance and direction to the department personnel.
Ø Help maintain and foster a team environment
Ø Train and develop the IQC’s personnel.
Ø Provide a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment.
Ø Evaluate employees performance and give instruction where needed.
Ø Enforce all company work rules, policies, safety instructions, department quality processes, work instructions and use all proper forms.
Training Requirements :
Ø Quality System Awareness.
Ø Must familiar ISO 9001
Ø Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP) from recognized organizations like the American Society for Quality (ASQ) preferred
Physical Requirements :
Ø Will regularly sit for approximately 5% of a workday. Other activities, such as bending, reaching and moving about the facility covers approximately 95% of a workday.
Ø Required to lift un-assisted up to 50 lbs.
Ø Employees may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FDA regulations.
Personal Protective Equipment :
Ø None.
Work Environment :
Ø Warehouse environment.
Ø Occasional exposure to shop elements including noise, dust, fumes, odors, and a range of ambient temperatures.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
