Foxdale Village includes 57 apartments and 148 cottages and offers a range of health services with 46 beds in skilled nursing for short and long-term care, two memory care neighborhoods, and 55 beds in personal care, all with private accommodations. We currently have an opportunity for a new Maintenance Technician to join our team.
We are hiring for a Full-Time position and expected work 40 hours per week with one of the following schedules:
· Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 4:30PM and rotating weekend coverage from 8:30AM – 5:00PM
· Monday – Friday 8:30AM – 5:00PM and rotating weekend coverage from 8:00AM – 4:30PM
Job Summary:
Responsible for maintenance and repair of Foxdale Village heating and cooling systems, large pumps and motors, appliances, and various other systems requiring maintenance. Assist with Community Building and Health Center remodeling and light electrical repair projects.

Essential Job Functions;
1. Check and maintain the Community Building and apartment heating and cooling systems on a regular basis.
2. Repair appliances as needed.
3. Maintain communications and sensor systems.
4. Maintain natural gas lines.
5. Test the sprinkler system for adequate water pressure and leaks.
6. Monitor the hot water temperature to ensure that a 110-degree level is maintained and a 180-degree temperature is maintained for the dishwasher.
7. Assist with drywall installation and finishing work in common areas and health center.
8. Assist with flooring removal and installation in common areas and health center.
9. Complete preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and minor repairs.
10. Assist with plumbing and light electrical work projects and maintenance.
11. Assist with therapy pool maintenance, as needed.
12. Use electronic work order system to complete work orders in a timely manner.
13. Assist in resident Health Center moves.
14. Prepare community common space areas for various activities.
15. Serve in an on-call status to respond to mechanical system problems.
16. Serve in an on-call status during inclement weather and assist in snow removal as needed.
17. Maintain regular and predictable attendance in order to meet the maintenance needs of the community.
Requirements
Education: High school diploma or its equivalent is required. Completion of formalized training program or certification program in HVAC, Plumbing, or related discipline required.
Experience: Three to five years of experience in related field, including commercial and residential buildings.
Hold Mechanic level proficiency in two of the following skills and the ability to train to mechanic proficiency in the remaining areas: Heating and Refrigeration, Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical systems, Carpentry and Concrete.
The ability to read and interpret architectural plans, schematic drawings, etc. is also preferred.
Language: Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
Math: Must be able to complete tasks using basic mathematical skills.
Computer: Basic computer skills preferred.
