What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Manager position at Foxwoods Resort Casino?
Under the direction of the Chief Procurement Officer, supervises and helps administer a purchasing program for the procurement of materials, supplies, services and equipment. Assures contracts/purchase orders are issued at the lowest total cost to MPTN. Supervise, train, and development of Procurement staff. Bachelor degree in business administration or related field. Must have seven (7) years of related work experience in a medium to large-size purchasing department. Must have a minimum of three (3) years of supervising a medium to large size Procurement staff. Extensive experience in the negotiation of long-term goods and services contracts is required. Certification as a Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) is desirable. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software, specifically in Excel, Word and Outlook. Analytical skills as well as the ability to plan, organize, prioritize and delegate functions to staff. Effective interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to influence. Must have advance knowledge in an ERP system similar to Oracle.. Hospitality procurement knowledge is desirable.
