Foxx Construction, is a regional provider of construction management services, founded as a subsidiary of d.e. Foxx & Associates, Inc. in 1983. One of our first projects was restoring and revitalizing our headquarters, the Goodall Building, located in Downtown Cincinnati’s Empowerment Zone, across from the City of Cincinnati’s City Hall. From that beginning, we began providing schedule, cost and quality oversight for various construction projects throughout Greater Cincinnati. Foxx Construction has developed specific expertise in managing construction projects related to healthcare facilities and office complex and tower renovations.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement the overall strategic plan for the site.
- Installation & Assembly: Install and assemble heavy door frames, trim, and access panels according to blueprints and specifications.
- Measurements & Layout: Take precise measurements for door frame installations, trim work, and access panels to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Stay current on the industry benchmarks, norms, and direction. Incorporate those into our strategic plan.
- Adhere to and reinforce exceptional ethical standards through personal actions creating a culture of professionalism, honesty, and integrity, as well as ability to strictly maintain confidentiality with employee and organizational information.
- Responsible for ensuring all safety, quality, and health standards are met.
- Interact successfully with a diverse group of people, including employees, internal and external clients.
- Able to self-preform task on site to advance the schedule while managing the site crew to stay productive and on task.
- Works directly with sub-contractors and crews to ensure construction tasks are completed on time.
- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing safety practices and procedures
- Assist Project Manager in all jobsite reporting requirements (Safety, daily reports, SWPPP etc.)
- Lead project team in development and management of project schedules, site logistics and management plan, QC planning and safety planning
- Maintain a daily log for the job site’s operations, reporting to management as necessary
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience with heavy-duty door frame installations, trim, and access panel systems.
- 3-5 years of experience as Assistant Superintendent or similar role
- Excellent demonstration of field experience related to project leadership.
- OSHA 30
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
- Technically skilled and up to date with available Industry standard software systems.
- Organizational skills, including time management, delegation, prioritization and multitasking
- Directly involved with managing their team, assigning each worker to new tasks each day and checking their work for quality and stability.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
