GENERAL SUMMARY:
Yard Jockey is responsible for moving trailers around warehouse yard and prepares them for unloading and loading.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Responsible for the movement and spotting of trailers to facilitate the needs of the warehouse in sorting and processing material for shipment or storage
•Responsible for timely movements and knowledge of on-hand inventory
•Responsible to maintain a neat and orderly storage lot oriented toward maximizing efficiency in servicing the facility’s needs
•Operate yard truck in a safe manner
•Drive and operate vehicle under 15 mph in and around facility
•Conduct pre-trips on trailers before placing in doors
•Must function and interact on a daily basis with facility personnel and comply with facility safety requirements
•Communicate using cellular telephone or 2-way radio with dispatch
•Other duties as assigned
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
•High school diploma or equivalent
•Safe truck and trailer operating skills are required
•Experience with backing 53-foot trailers
•1-2 years of relevant experience required
•Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
•Must possess excellent customer service and organizational skills
•Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
•Valid Driver’s License. CDL license preferred but not required.

Schedule: M-F with rotated Weekend 3:30PM-2:00AM
