We are seeking a qualified Credit Analyst to work onsite at our Headquarters in Augusta, Georgia.
SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Credit Analyst is responsible for the administration of accounts receivables and daily cash flow and cash-forecasting models. Monitor and execute collection policies. Acts as backup for Treasury.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for setting up new customers. Performs new receivables item and customer maintenance as required to maintain a smooth and cohesive business flow throughout the receivables process at FPL. Maintains existing customers in the receivables system. Supports users as it relates to the receivable process. Performs month end reconciliation of cash receipts as it relates to the receivables process.
Monitor and executes collection policies for all manufacturing operations. Maintains contact with internal sales force as well as external customers as needed. Reviews, investigates, and analyzes deductions taken by all customers to facilitate their timely and proper disposition.
Run daily cash flow and cash-forecasting models.
Execute and handle fund transfer transactions. Monitor banking transaction information and status of bank accounts. Provide and obtain information regarding payments (wire, ACH, or checks), deposits, stop payments, check handling, etc. Post banking transactions to the general ledger daily. Executes treasury cash movements and vendor payments via check, ACH, and wire.
Work directly with bank personnel to troubleshoot issues.
Review monthly bank fees for accuracy and coordinate with Management on discrepancies.
Support company with cash management controls, daily treasury and banking related issues.
Assist with the creation of reporting and analysis to Management.
Assist in the implementation, streamlining, and documentation of various treasury operations processes and procedures, taking into consideration compliance, and business needs.
Responsible for processing and posting daily banking activity and providing support to internal customers for banking related matters. Investigate and resolve issues with banking transactions.
Investigate and resolves any returned payments. Complete cash receipts.
Performs assigned account reconciliations.
Maintains record retention documentation for Treasury. Responds timely to request for support for Treasury related questions.
Effectively communicates through active listening, acting on input, sharing information in an open, timely manner, while maintaining appropriate confidentiality and encouraging others to do the same.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or business preferred
Experience
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in finance, accounts receivable, and/or treasury
Credit and collection experience preferred
