Role Description

This is a 1099 position with a guaranteed 40 hours per week. There are two positions for the same customer, both long-term residencies for a Nutanix customer located near Nanuet, New York.

Position 1: Expertise in Nutanix implementations and Rancher. Need to have expertise in both. This is a 3-week remote and 1-week per month on-site opportunity, so 25% travel is required to start. It should move to 100% remote after the first few months.

Position 2: Expertise in Nutanix Calm and Docker. So the more DevOps you have the better, provided you have both Docker experience and Nutanix Calm, it would be an ideal candidate. This is three days per week onsite and two days per week remote. Mon-Fri home, Tues - Thurs onsite. Someone in the Northern NJ or NYC tri-state region would be perfect.

Travel will be covered cost-wise for both actual costs outside of salary.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Nutanix technologies (Position 1 - Nutanix installations; Position 2 - Nutanix Calm)
• Strong background in DevOps (Position 1 - Rancher; Position 2 - Docker)
• Demonstrated experience as a client customer advisor, assisting the customer as one of their staff
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strategic planning capabilities
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred
• Nutanix certifications of NCP or NCS-Core would be ideal.
• Training or certs in Nutanix Calm, Rancher, or Docker (based on the position applying for) is ideal.
