Job Description :
The qualified candidate will become part of the Kearfott Motion Systems Finance team. The selected candidate will work directly with experienced cost accountants and financial accountants. Our goal is to allow the individual to perform tasks associated with daily accounting functions, experience a true manufacturing and cost environment, enhance skills, and develop a higher level of confidence in your capabilities.
The team member should have the ability to analyze data, develop spreadsheets, and an aptitude for learning and operating from our ERP system. The candidate will interact with other Departments within our manufacturing facility in order to gather information and compile data to support the Finance team.
Essential Functions
- Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts.
- Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information.
- Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Provides cost analysis as needed to support customer requests.
- Works on special projects as required.
- Supports and assists internal department reporting requirements such as audit schedules, and record keeping.
- Assists with fixed-asset accounting, tagging, and auditing.
- Provides ad-hoc reports as required.
- Accepts cross training for different job responsibilities of various key personnel in accounting.
