Position Summary:
A reputable commercial general contractor is seeking a Superintendent to oversee all on-site construction activities. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality execution, supervising trade partners and field personnel, and maintaining strict safety protocols. The ideal candidate will take a proactive approach to problem-solving and ensure projects stay on track. This position reports to the Senior Superintendent and plays a key role in successful project delivery.
Job Responsibilities:
• Serve as a professional representative of the company, fostering positive relationships with project stakeholders, including engineers, architects, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Identify challenges early and implement solutions to prevent potential issues.
• Maintain strong relationships with key trade partners and suppliers.
• Oversee all field construction activities, ensuring work aligns with plans and specifications.
• Keep project schedules updated, including maintaining a rolling three-week look-ahead schedule.
• Coordinate and schedule required municipal inspections.
• Supervise and document the completion of project punch lists.
• Enforce job site safety practices, promptly addressing hazards and ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
• Prepare daily reports, documenting site activities and progress.
• Utilize scheduling software (e.g., MS Project) to track and manage timelines.
• Assist project managers in selecting suppliers and subcontractors.
• Participate in company and industry events, including meetings, training sessions, and workshops.

• Strong background in scheduling, field supervision, quality control, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
