Position Overview:
The Automotive Title Clerk is a key member of our back-office team, responsible for handling vehicle title and registration paperwork. You will work closely with the sales and finance departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of vehicle titles in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process vehicle title and registration documents.
- Ensure that all paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner for both new and used vehicle sales.
- Work closely with local and state agencies to submit titles and resolve any issues related to title processing.
- Maintain an organized filing system for all title-related documents and records.
- Provide excellent customer service to customers with title-related inquiries or issues.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal title and registration regulations.
- Assist with other clerical duties as needed to support dealership operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as an automotive title clerk or in a similar administrative position preferred.
- Knowledge of Texas and Louisiana vehicle title and registration processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic office equipment.
