What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trauma Analyst position at Franciscan Health?
The Trauma Analyst serves as the data expert for the trauma registry. You would help identify and input data regarding complications, action plans, benchmarks, and outcomes into various regulatory databases. This position works both independently and in collaboration with the Trauma Program Manager, indirectly to the Trauma Medical Director and other members of the healthcare team and the management staff.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
This is a part-time position; offering 24 hours/week
Schedule would be Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays; flexible hours between 7:30A-4P
Analyzes registry data on the trauma patient population; identifying trends for performance improvement.
Coordinate preparation for trauma designation site visit.
Maintains the trauma-specific database.
Monitors and maintains compliance with statewide trauma system regulatory requirements.
Monitors data quality and performs data validation on a routine basis, adhering to regulatory body definitions and guidelines.
Monitors trauma patient outcomes and evaluates for trends.
Participate in Statewide and Regional trauma meetings, in person or virtually.
Performs the abstraction of medical records for data elements.
Prepares reports from trauma registry
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Associate's Degree in health related field
Preferred Bachelor's Degree in health related field
1 year work experience Required
1 year ICD coding Preferred
1 year AIS/ISS Coding Preferred
1 year Microsoft Office Preferred
Association of the Advancement of Automotive Medicine Injury scaling Course - Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine within 1 year Preferred
ATS Trauma Registrars Course - The American Trauma Society (ATS) within 1 year Preferred
