Position Description
Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Sr. PI Specialist will lead efforts to expand our process improvement team, carry out our evidence based, data driven quality vision and promote innovation in performance improvement throughout the organization.
This experienced leader will provide expert project management and analytic support for multiple quality and safety initiatives and identify opportunities to take our work to the next level.
The position requires a strong background in process improvement techniques, project management, change management, and a high degree of professionalism. Candidates must possess strong analytical capabilities and the ability to multitask both independently and with supervision. This work is highly collaborative and requires experience working with multidisciplinary teams and delivering data driven presentations to a variety of audiences (ex: staff training/education).
Candidates must have a passion for performance improvement and an understanding of healthcare research, statistical analysis, expertise in process improvement methodologies, and a working knowledge of the external quality measurement landscape. Additionally, success in this role requires the ability to be flexible and quickly adapt to both anticipated and unanticipated evolving needs of the organization.
Collaboration with multiple key internal and external stakeholders and strategic problem solving will allow the right candidate to help identify needs and shape necessary changes for program growth and strategic alignment over time. With growth in mind, the ability to manage increasing responsibilities over time will allow for advancement within this role.
The ideal candidate is highly trained in healthcare consulting and/or project management and has worked in a complex healthcare/hospital setting. S/he must have strong organizational and time management skills to managing and prioritize multiple projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and adhere to strict and often urgent timelines.
The Sr. PI Analyst must also possess sound technical abilities (e.g., Microsoft Products (ex: Excel), RL Solutions, Visualization software (Visio/Tableau), coupled with superior written and verbal communication skills. The person in this role is responsible for organizing and delivering quality, safety and process/practice related education throughout the organization.
S/he must also have strong analytic skills to effectively interpret, synthesize and convey findings to multiple audiences, as well as formulate recommendations and drive performance improvement and raise awareness throughout the organization. Creative problem solving, adaptability to shifting organizational needs, excellent judgement, self-motivated mindset and eagerness to learn are required.
