What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infection Prevention and Control Coordinator position at Franciscan Ministries?
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement infection prevention and control programs to prevent, recognize, and control the onset/spread of infections
- Serve as the primary contact for community outbreaks and prevention efforts
- Stay current with State, Federal, IDPH, CMS, and CDC guidelines to ensure compliance
- Review and revise the community's infection prevention and control program annually
- Track TBs, competencies, vaccinations, and record compliance
In addition to infection control duties, this role involves organizing and implementing annual OSHA, JCAHO, and State/Federal required in-service training programs. The successful candidate will also observe and instruct associates in safety policies and procedures, lead all infection control related programs, and serve as a member of the Safety Committee and QAPI Committee.
