Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Infection Preventionist/Education Coordinator to join our team at Franciscan Ministries. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing health programs and educational training for staff, as well as ensuring compliance with infection control standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement annual OSHA, JCAHO, and State/Federal required in-service training programs
- Observe and instruct associates in safety policies and procedures
- Lead all Infection Control related programs and serve as the Infection Preventionist for the community
- Consistently monitor established policies and procedures pertaining to safety, hazard communications, and universal precautions
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Active RN license
- At least three years of clinical experience in long-term care
Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures
- High degree of integrity
- Strong communicator and capable of leading change
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects and deadlines concurrently
