What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wound Care Specialist for Advanced Skin Integrity position at Franciscan Ministries?
The Wound Care Nurse plays a vital role in overseeing the treatment of residents with wounds and ulcers, working closely with physicians to develop effective treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Oversee and assess all residents with wounds and pressure ulcers.
- Consult on skin integrity issues and collaborate with physicians to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Administer wound care treatments, including sharp debridement, as needed.
Treatment Goals: To prevent infection, promote healing, improve skin integrity, enhance patient comfort, and quality of life.
A successful candidate will have an Associate's degree or higher in a clinical/nursing area of study and 1 years of experience in a clinical setting within the geriatric industry.
Certifications and Licenses required are Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
Desirable skills include excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Working Hours are Monday-Friday: 8:00am to 4:30pm.
