Job Summary
A third party benefits administration firm is seeking a Specialist, Health Insurance Compliance. The primary duties of this position are to actively participate and ensure that the firm and their client funds are compliant with federal and state health insurance related legislation and regulations, e.g., plan design, communications, reporting, etc.
Duties
- Work with applicable client funds to update Summary of Benefits & Coverages (SBCs)
- Ensure that the SBCs reflect the latest Health Care Compliance regulatory developments
- Ensure the SBC drafts have no HCC regulatory issues
- Provide client funds with final SBCs to ensure distribution to plan participants 30 days prior to the start of the plan year
- Develop SBCs for new client funds and plans
- Maintain SBC Dropbox database
- Assist with the IRS annual notices and the Affordable Care Act (ACA) reporting
- Draft and submit ACA/HCC Fund status reports for inclusion in trustee meeting materials
- Review health plans for compliance when handling client onboarding
- Other responsibilities which may be assigned by the Director and Manager of the HCC Team
Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of health benefits experience
- Health Insurance Compliance experience preferred
- Specialized knowledge and experience with health plans and the Affordable Care Act (ACA) reporting
Special Skills: A self starter who can work independently; analyze a problem from a strategic and tactical perspective; ability to handle projects in a timely manner, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Full time position: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
