About the job

SUMMARY
The Business Development and Deployment Director leads the identification and execution of strategic growth opportunities, focusing on new business development and successful deployment of initiatives. This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers and OEMs, ensuring alignment and maximizing revenue opportunities. The director has responsibility for the McDonald's account in North America, focusing on deployment and driving sales-generating initiatives. They provide hands-on leadership during initiative development, driving team performance and fostering professional growth. Additionally, the director contributes to the development of financial goals and collaborates across departments to enhance eCommerce/SpendSmart strategies. This position requires a blend of strategic vision and tactical execution to drive business success and customer satisfaction.


Your tasks

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES




Market Analysis, Strategy, and Planning
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in the U.S. market.
• Develop market entry strategies that highlight the company's products, services, and values.
• Contribute to the development of annual budgets and medium-term planning (MTP) financial goals in alignment with organizational objectives.
• Conduct research on potential clients, distributors, and market trends to inform strategic decision-making.
Strategic and Customer-Focused Deployment
• Serve as the face of Franke to high-value customers during deployment initiatives, fostering strong relationships and trust.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to deploy initiatives that create win-win outcomes for customers and the company.
• Build and maintain relationships with OEMs to ensure alignment and successful deployment of key initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to maximize revenue during initiatives and oversee their implementation.
Relationship and Account Management
• Build, maintain, and expand relationships with key accounts, distributors, and international/transborder clients.
• Serve as the primary liaison between key customers and internal teams, ensuring long-term, trust-based partnerships.
• Manage end-to-end commercial relationships, including contract negotiation, execution, and compliance.
• Oversee project execution to meet contractual commitments and customer expectations.
• Manage and support regional tenders, bid submissions, RFPs, RFIs, and strategic proposals.
Team Leadership and Development
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team to achieve business objectives and ensure long-term success.
• Provide guidance, professional development opportunities, and support to team members.
• Drive accountability, collaboration, and performance to deliver on deployment and sales goals.
eCommerce/SpendSmart Growth
• Identify and implement opportunities to grow the business through eCommerce/SpendSmart as a key sales channel.
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance eCommerce/SpendSmart strategies and optimize customer engagement online.
Communication, Coordination, and Reporting
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure the delivery of best-in-class service to customers.
• Provide market-specific data, insights, and progress reports to senior management and marketing teams.
• Prepare and present regular progress, performance, and forecast reports using key account metrics.
Project and Issue Management
• Act as the commercial interface for complex projects tied to regional and global account needs.
• Take a hands-on leadership role during the development and execution stages of initiatives.
• Resolve customer issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction and ensure successful outcomes.

• Business Development - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, market assessment, business analysis methods, and coordination of people and resources. Thorough understanding of the wholesale channel and project business is mandatory.
• Customer Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Sales and Marketing - Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, market research product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
• Very High Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common industry and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
• Intermediate Mathematical Skills - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, profitability and basic balance sheet analytics such as net working capital.
• Highest Reasoning Skills - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Computer Skills: Word Processing Software, Spreadsheet Software, Order Processing Systems, Contact Management Systems




EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of related experience.





SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Directly supervises staff.
