Responsibilities
Service technicians are responsible for providing different services, depending on their area of expertise, and diagnosing problems and making repairs.
- Identify electronic / mechanical problems by use of diagnostic equipment.
- Test and verify sub-assemblies and major system components.
- Test, repair and maintain PRG equipment using set company procedures and guidelines.
- Recalibrate and verify factory manufacturing specifications for pertinent equipment.
- Review part stock levels with Technical services manager.
- Intermediate understanding of control software and operation.
- Maintain and enter all factory acceptance testing and QC documentation.
- Maintain accurate parts lists for all related equipment.
- Ensure maintenance policies and procedures are met and related paperwork is in order.
- Ensure all equipment QC deadlines are met.
- Lead in internal training with entry level personnel.
- Cross-train to assist in different departments as required.
- Lead by example and encourage subordinates and peers to perform work in a safe manner, including the use of proper PPE, adherence to safety standards and policies, and remain accident free.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime, including weekends and holidays, when needed.
- Other duties as assigned or directed.
