Overview:
This position is crucial for overseeing organizational IT projects and performing vital system administrator functions for multiple systems. The Systems Analyst analyzes our software, hardware and the wider IT systems to ensure they fit Franklin’s business needs. They play a pivotal role in writing requirements for new systems and may also assist in implementing them and monitoring their effectiveness. They also play a significant role in training on and documenting features in the tools that our employees rely upon.
Employment Schedule: 12 months, full-time
Experience: 2-5 years of relevant IT experience is preferred
Direct Supervisor: Executive Director, Franklin Academy Foundation, Inc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential functions of the position may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Collaborate with school-based IT teams and outsourced IT organizations; Act as the lead project manager for larger IT initiatives and projects
- Serve as the System Administrator of student information system; responsible for security and custom reporting
- Oversee data integration platforms, ensuring stable data sharing
- Act as System Administrator for G-Suite for Education platform
- Assist with management of Microsoft 365 environment and related programs
- Evaluate current systems and recommend improvements for both efficiency and cybersecurity protection
- Evaluate existing processes and implement process improvements and automation tasks
- Develop specifications for new or modified systems
- Guide and collaborate with campus-based IT staff, to ensure procedures are being followed
- Draft SOP documentation for both executives and end-users
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, as well as company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the administrator/supervisor or designee
Requirements
Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge:
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Prior experience working in a K-12 environment is preferred
- Proficient in creating new data integrations as well as supporting existing processes
- Skilled in crafting documentation and training guides suitable for all end-users
- Demonstrates initiative, independence, and organizational skills; capable of working with minimal supervision
- Committed to delivering exceptional customer service
- Maintains strict confidentiality regarding sensitive issues
