Hours: 20-29.5 hours/week
Shift: Part time nights, On-call, Weekends and rotating Holidays

WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR FCMC:
Our Environmental Service Technicians ensure that Franklin County Medical Center’s facilities are orderly, clean, and sanitary. Some of our Environmental Service Technicians’ important duties include:
- Performing a variety of assigned cleaning tasks, including cleaning furniture; washing walls, counters, woodwork, and doors; sweeping, vacuuming, scrubbing, waxing, and buffing floors; cleaning restrooms; and cleaning drapes and blinds
- Supplying restrooms with soap and paper products
- Maintaining laundry by gathering and transporting soiled linens, sorting clean linens, and stocking linen closets
- Maintaining cleaning records and reporting anything in need of repair
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- Able to read chemical labels and instructions
- Able to use housekeeping equipment
Essential Job Functions:
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
- Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or twist
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance
- Occasionally required to operate foot controls and equipment
- Frequently able to move, push, lift and carry up to 100 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as situations require to maintain infection control standards set by the facility
- Must submit to COVID-19 testing as required by CMS and other regulatory agencies according to FCMC policy
- Have full COVID-19 vaccination (some exemptions allowed)
Work Environment:
- FCMC operates 24 hours per day each day of the year; operational needs of departments may require that you be available to work all shifts, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the patients
- Potential exposure to blood, body tissue and fluids, contagious diseases, and hazardous waste
- Occasional exposure to bodily injury, loud/unpleasant noise, unpleasant odor, emotional or physical stress
