NOW HIRING: Evaluation & Quality Coordinator
(Full Time position)
Under supervision and guidance from the Director of Epidemiology & Data, this position coordinates agency-wide evaluation efforts, including performance management, strategic planning, quality improvement, and accreditation activities. Effective program evaluation is a systematic way to improve and account for public health actions by involving procedures that are useful, feasible, ethical, and accurate.
Data-informed evaluation efforts coordinated by this position will integrate with routine program and agency operations. This position will collaborate with leadership and program staff to develop and track evaluation processes and outcomes. This position’s work will support the agency strategic plan, Community Health Assessment (CHA), Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP), and current public health initiatives.
This position focuses on providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers in accordance with the mission, core values, and purposes of Franklin County Public Health.
Duties Include:
- Under limited supervision, implements best practice evaluation activities by utilizing evidence-based standards and frameworks. Incorporates collaboration, equity, and learn from and continual quality improvement into all evaluation activities. Supports Office of Epidemiology & Data in designing and executing data-driven evaluation plans for grants and programs. Communicates evaluation findings to agency leadership and community stakeholders. Supports the agency’s efforts in implementing equity goals by ensuring evaluation efforts address root causes of health inequities, health disparities, and social determinants of health.
- With general direction and guidance, coordinates agency accreditation efforts and manages accreditation processes including documentation, staff guidance, site visit coordination, and annual accreditation updates and reporting. Manages the submission of required reports to the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB). Ensure alignment of PHAB standards to strategic plan, CHIP, CHA.
- Through leadership of the FCPH Quality Improvement Committee, this role manages the execution of strategies for sustaining a culture of quality improvement; conducts department-wide quality improvement activities in alignment with evidence based/best practices, PHAB accreditation standards, the department’s strategic plan. Collaborate with epidemiologists to design quality improvement initiatives and reporting. Provides standardized QI tools, trainings, project management processes to sustain improvement efforts. Maintain current knowledge and application of quality improvement principles; Identify best practices and innovative opportunities to advance agency goals.
- Prepares written and oral reports and presentations that communicate necessary information in professional audiences, policy makers, and the public and updates agency plans including, Accreditation, Performance Management, Quality Improvement Plans. Reviews work product for accuracy, precision, and compliance. Makes presentations of reports
- Utilizes appropriate methods for interacting effectively and professionally with persons of all ages and from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, educational, racial, and ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientations, lifestyles, and physical abilities.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required in related field.
- 5 years’ experience in the practical application and understanding of program evaluation, quality improvement, performance management, and/or accreditation.
- 2 years’ experience in project management and/or collaborative committee leadership.
- Master’s degree preferred.
Hiring Salary:
$29.79 - $35.00/hour for Evaluation and Quality Coordinator. This is a non-exempt position.
