Qualifications
JOB GOAL: To provide diagnostic instruction to students in grades K - 12 who are lacking necessary skills to compete in the state proficiency requirements, in accordance with local, state and federal Title I school wide programs. Implement procedures to identify LEP/ESL students in the District who need an alternative program that provides LEP/ESL students with equal education opportunity to the District's education program.
- Valid Ohio certification/licensure
- Bachelor's degree - TESOL validation
- Knowledge of inclusionary interdisciplinary instruction
- Knowledge of the Title VI Language Minority Compliance Procedures
- Sensitivity to the needs of LEP/ESL students and parents
- Demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Demonstrate innovative teaching techniques to meet high standards for proficiency outcomes
