Description


Responsible for maintenance and repair of all factory machines and test equipment.

Key Responsibilities


  • Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per Franklin Fueling Systems.
  • Report problems with quality, process, equipment, and materials to Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate maintenance functions.
  • Responsible for maintenance and repair of all factory machines and test equipment.
  • Perform grounds upkeep and snow removal as required.
  • Responsible for preventive maintenance and Facility repairs.
  • Assists Janitorial staff as required.
  • Assists preventative maintenance as required.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.


Position Qualifications


Skills and Abilities
  • Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Utilizes common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
  • Provides accurate work on a consistent basis meeting precise tolerances and standards.
  • Interpersonal skills sufficient to work closely with others on a team.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility in work environment performing a variety of frequently changing tasks.
  • Must be proficient in electrical, pneumatic, mechanical and hydraulic principles, repairs and trouble shooting.
  • Prior PLC knowledge is preferred, but not required.
  • Reads and interpret electrical, pneumatic and mechanical and hydraulic drawings and prints.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
  • While performing the functions of this job, the employee is:
o Continually required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.; stand.
o Regularly required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.; push or pull; walk.
o Occasionally required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 lbs.; sit; ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps; turn wrenches, valves, or handles; bend or twist; use upper extremities; reach above shoulders; reach to full extension.
  • The employee must continually lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include regular peripheral viewing; viewing length changes; close viewing with depth perception; and occasional distance viewing.
  • Specific hearing abilities required by this job include the need to perceive the spoken voice clearly and the need to hear warning signals up to 70dbs with or without assistance.
  • Specific speech abilities regularly required by this job include comprehensible speech.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • This position is subjected to harmful environmental conditions and is located in a manufacturing type environment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • This position is Frequently exposed to extreme heat, vibration, and moving mechanical hazard; and Infrequently exposed to wet/humid conditions.
  • This job consists of shift work up to 8 hours per day and may be required to work overtime as needed.
