Description
This position is responsible for providing timely and accurate quotations for Line Shaft Turbine, Submersible Turbine, and packaged systems.
The role works closely with value centers and field sales to understand market demands and customer expectations.
A high attention to detail and sense of urgency are essential for success in this position.
- Provide concise and professional submittal packages that optimize designs based on project requirements
- Offer technical assistance to internal and external sales personnel and customers to support relationships and growth
- Collaborate with suppliers and the purchasing team to obtain best costs for non-stock items
- Achieve margin, sales, and growth targets
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of metallurgies and materials to control cost for the customer and the company.
Responsibilities include receiving customer purchase orders, maintaining quote logs, quoting, entering, and tracking new applications and pump repairs.
The role may also involve managing and prioritizing multiple high-spec projects.
Skill Requirements
- Minimum of five years related experience in pump sales and service
- Knowledge of pump construction, various metallurgies, and hydraulics
- Strong math and engineering skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Microsoft Office (Excel) proficiency
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Capacity to review technical specifications and contracts
- Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate on-call assignments
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineering or advanced technical degree
- Experience with drawing software such as Solid Works or similar
- ERP and related experience
