The Company:
We’re partnered with a well-respected managed service provider based within the tri-state area, known for their client-first approach and ability to demystify technology. They specialize in delivering robust cloud, on-premises, and security solutions while fostering long-term relationships with their clients.
The Role:
As a System Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, proposing, and implementing custom cloud and on-premises solutions for clients. You’ll work closely with the Project Manager to develop detailed project plans and ensure smooth deployments. You’ll also serve as a key technical resource, providing escalated support, vendor coordination, and guidance to internal teams.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and implement IT infrastructure solutions using cloud and on-premises offerings
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency, scalability, productivity, and security for clients
- Collaborate on detailed project plans and timelines
- Communicate with clients to provide status updates, notify of changes, and ensure transparency
- Research and apply best practices in cloud architecture, security, and implementation
- Support key technologies: Office 365, Windows Servers, VOIP, remote access, backup/disaster recovery, mobile device management
- Troubleshoot complex server/network issues and provide Tier 2/3 support
- Document resolutions and train team members on implemented solutions
- Work with vendors and partners to resolve technical issues and manage pricing/agreements
What You Need:
- Strong experience designing and implementing IT networks and cloud solutions
- Familiarity with LAN/WAN technologies, routing, and network security
- Solid technical knowledge of Microsoft environments (Office365, Windows OS, Remote Access)
- Experience with vendor management and solution recommendation
- Customer-first mindset with strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask, adapt quickly, and de-escalate technical challenges
