Franklin's Earthmoving Inc. seeks an Agtek Modeler to join our team and shape the future of construction. Utilizing cutting-edge Agtek software alongside industry leaders like CIVIL3D, Topcon, and Trimble, you will leverage your analytical mind and meticulous attention to detail to create highly precise .ESW files. This team-oriented role requires an accommodating personality and a commitment to innovation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Earthwork Quantification: Utilize CIVIL3D, Agtek, Topcon and Trimble software to calculate earthwork quantities, including cut and fill volumes, grading requirements, and material quantities, to inform project budgeting and scheduling.
- Budgeting Models: Collaborate with Franklin’s estimating team, project managers, engineers, and owners to develop accurate budgeting models based on Agtek-generated data, ensuring alignment with project objectives and constraints.
- Civil Information Modeling: Develop 3D construction models of excavation, utilities, and road infrastructure using supplied earthwork CAD and CAD manipulation Agtek software to support project bidding, construction planning, design, and project execution (machine control). All while maintaining compliance with the bid documents / contract documents / and all safety regulations.
- Quantity Takeoff Models: Generate quantity takeoffs and material estimates from Agtek generalized models to support cost estimation, procurement, and project planning activities. Quantity takeoffs include excavation quantities for generalized building excavations.
- Improved Takeoff Models: Generate accurate quantity takeoffs and material estimates from Agtek detailed models to support cost estimation and constructability reviews. Quantity takeoffs include excavation quantities for detailed and civil excavations. Improved takeoff models must reflect realistic activity phasing and building logic.
- Visualization: Create 3D visualizations and renderings from Agtek models to communicate design intent, construction intent, and support decision-making processes. Data Integration: Gather and integrate data from various sources, including survey data procured from the Civil engineer and the Civil Survey Technicians, engineering drawings, drone photogrammetry / point cloud data, and asbuilts to inform the development of Agtek models.
- Design Coordination: Collaborate with estimating, project management, engineers, designers, and other project stakeholders to coordinate design elements within Agtek models.
- Model Management: Maintain and update Agtek models throughout the project lifecycle, incorporating design revisions, as-built data, and field observations to ensure model accuracy and integrity. Generate Topcon and Trimble files from Agtek model required for machine control.
