Department Title : Undergrad Intern - Enterprise Data & Analytics

Location : The intern candidate must be able to commute into the Baltimore, MD office each week.

Position Summary :

Our team is responsible for bringing data to life through integration and enabling the development of analytics so our business teams can improve decision making and optimize performance. We look at this as an iterative process to integrate data by leveraging use cases that will add value to the business. So, we are constantly working with business leaders to identify use cases and integrate the corresponding data.

Our department goal is to enable business teams to use data efficiently to create innovative products, better ways to reach out to our clients and mitigate risks. We are working with the Sales & Marketing teams to integrate their data into a data platform so they can develop intelligence about the behavior of our client touchpoints and devise better sales and marketing strategies based on the data. Another key initiative is to integrate assets, flows and performance of products, so product development teams can develop innovative products with existing composition of portfolios.

In today's world if data is a rough diamond stone, then analytics is the practice of changing the rough stone to a faceted gem. Both diamonds and analytics are multi-faceted. They are both often the product of great search, extraction, and polishing. This intern will have the opportunity to find new ways to search, extract and polish the data to create solutions for business, leads to the success of our organization.

Team Culture :

This team is responsible for bringing data from operational systems of various business domains at FT and stitch it together so the business domain folks can use this data to make well informed decisions using the analytics developed out of this data eco system. This helps the organization to enable data driven decision making integrated into their business process. So, this team is uniquely positioned to solve the data integration and analytics challenges at FT.

Primary collaboration and interaction within the team is through Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Confluence space and meetings. This team spans across various physical locations, so virtual collaboration is the norm. Since this team brings data from various business domain systems, collaboration between other groups at FT is essential and Teams and Outlook are the primary mode of communication.

An Enterprise Data & Analytics Intern at Franklin Templeton can expect to learn :

Compensation Range : This is a full-time internship where students will work approximately 35 hours per week and earn competitive hourly pay of $34 USD per hour. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation.
