Associate Attorney Environmental & Water Law
We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our dynamic and growing Environmental and Water Law practice in Sacramento. Our practice focuses on providing advisory, transactional, and litigation services to public agencies, agricultural entities, and tribal clients.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide legal counsel and representation in environmental and water law matters for public and private clients.
- Advise public sector clients, including cities, counties, and special districts, with particular attention to compliance with the Brown Act, Public Records Act, and conflict-of-interest regulations.
- Prepare pleadings and manage discovery processes in litigation and proceedings before state administrative agencies, such as the State Water Resources Control Board.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support client needs and meet strict deadlines.
- Draft a variety of legal documents, including client memorandums and law and motion filings in adversarial contexts.
- Develop and execute strategies for case management with limited oversight.
- Interface directly with clients to deliver professional and strategic legal guidance on environmental and / or labor law issues.
