Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the education and support of students, at times for those with special needs, within a collaborative and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Support classroom teachers in implementing educational activities and lesson plans
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce learning concepts
- Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide support to students with special needs
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members
Requirements
- Experience working with children
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and curriculum development
- Ability to work with students with autism spectrum disorder or other special needs
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, teachers, and parents
- Passion for educating and supporting students in their academic journey
